Hi Friends and Art Lovers,

This painting is Keating Channel in November, Oil on Canvas, 20"x24" which I painted in November 2011 on a blustery and cold day. I had to lay the canvas down on the stone wall to paint it, and even then it wanted to take off like a kite. This is one of the paintings I am currently showing with the Don Valley Art Club at Todmorden Mills Papermill Gallery. The Show's Judging Panel, which awards prizes in a number of categories in our Annual Spring Show, awarded this painting the Mac Murdock Award for the Best Marine Painting - an award for which I am truly honoured to receive. This painting is one of my Toronto Harbour Series which I am currently working on. This painting is still on display at the Todmorden Mills Papermill Gallery until Sunday May 20.
